President Ford died well over 30 days ago, yet all of the flags in town are still at half mast. Did someone else die that I missed?

Flags were supposed to be raised back to full staff January 25. The flag flew at half mast in honor of President Ford, as part of a 30-day period of national mourning.
As a side note, there was a really nice ceremony at the Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The large American flag that had flown there was lowered & folded by a group of Boy Scouts from Troop 271, President Ford's old troop. They then presented the flag to Marty Allen, the Chairman Emeritus of the Gerald R. Ford Foundation. It is planned that it will be put on display in the museum.

30 days. Flags are to be flown at half mast 30 days after the death of a former President. Gerald Ford died on December 27, therefore, flags, in his honor, are to be half-mast through January 26.

Because when President Ford passed away, President Bush ordered that the flags stand at half mast for 30 days. I can't remember the exact date of his death, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been 30 days yet.

Blessed are the people and their country that have such laws!

I know countries who forget their presidents just because some other party is ruling now or for other stupid reasons.

A day or two more with the flags at half mast doesn't matter than.
