I would just let them know if they get their jobs done, then may be you all could leave... don't worry about it, though, i am sure your boss calls any way to check up on you guys after u leave... they don't live in the dark, like u may think...

Are you getting paid for the time after you sneak away? If you are you may want to stop now because maybe your boss is on to you (it all comes down to theft, this way it's because you are taking money for time you didn't work). If you are being honest about your time then why haven't you discussed leaving early with your boss? If you are a good employee and person, you will stay the shift so you don't have to put the new person in the uncomfortable position of having to lie their first day on the job! Put yourself in their place, oh yea, and if you owned a business would you want to pay or keep the punk on the payroll who "sneaks" away early while still getting paid for it??????????? Grow up!

I wouldn't sneak away in case they say something to get you in trouble. If you find you can trust them, later reveal what you do. If there may be problems with your work, your boss may have planted this person to check up on you to see if you are slacking off.

Don't leave early tonight. Pretend you are the most sincere employee and set right example for new comers.

Leave early then worry about it on Monday. 9/10 people would rather leave work early & keep hush hush. Whatever you do don't mess up ya Friday ngiht.
Let us know the outcome!

If the newbie asks why you've left early, tell them this is normal practice if you've got all the work done, so maybe she won't question it.

Use your judgement. I'm sure they'll be wanting to get away as soon as possible also
