Redneck according to Jeff Foxworthy (and He should know) means a "glorious lack of sophistication", so I guess it is not really confined to whites. However in today's climate of political correctness, picking on other than whites gets you charged with some hate crime!

i'm asian and I have a hispanic and black accent. Cuz I've been around hispanics and blacks. I don't drive trucks or wear redneck clothes.
I act like myself. So stop generalizing.

Because it refers to the sunburn white farmers would get working outside all day. Native people can't be rednecks, as we were here before the term ever existed.

there are blacks that are rednecks, you dont have to be white to be a redneck.
does this mean cowboys can only be white? i see plenty of mexicans wearing cowboy hats and playing guitars, i also have seem some blacks wearing cowboy hats and playing guitars as well.
i'm assuming you are very young but as you get older and are no longer in grade school you will notice these things.

yes they can. i'm from ny, now live in the south, and i'm a redneck. i have the big truck, drive with no shoes, and the cowgirl hat. any one can be redneck

oh yea they can, i'm from NY and lived in NC for awhile, i made some asian friends there that had REALLY thick southern accents, loved country music and were hardworking, they sounded redneck to me
