I had the same question and unless its at your wedding reception or the comfort of your own home you get caught and there will be a fine!! Dont ask why I think if your mature enough to get married to a older person then you should be mature enough to drink!!!

No, you cant go out drinking with him. Let me tell you a little story. I once knewa couple who were much like the two of you. She was 21 and he was 19. They'd just gotten married and decided they wanted to go out for their wedding night. Well, she was able to get in the club, but he was turned away because of being only 19. They tried to show their marriage license, but that didnt work. No matter what, the law is the law, and the law says you have to be 21.

It depends on where you live. For example, in Texas, if you’re under 21, but married to someone over 21, then, yes, you can drink. As long as you’re with your spouse and your spouse actually purchases the liquor. Texas is the only state where I know for a fact that’s true (although, there may be other states where this is true, and I’m just unaware of…but, I kind of doubt it).

Personally, I think Texas REALLY needs to change this law. But that’s just my personal opinion.

Every state has different spousal drinking laws. But in general the laws go something like this. You can not go out drinking with him because that is a public establishment, however you can in a private establishment (home, or privately owned land) See link to check out your state.

It depends on your states laws: here in Pennsylvania one must be 21 to legally drink out in bars/restaurants. It doesn't matter if you are married to someone of legal drinking age or not. It is against the law (here anyway-I don't know where you are) to consume alcohol before the age of 21.

Everybody has enlightened you about the legalities . So here comes the sour grapes . Neither one of you should be that anxious to be getting soused that much . A drink now and then is fine but once you become pre-occupied and need to look for different places to have fun imbibing you are in trouble, Sorry .

Not in any state that I know of, unless you have a fake ID (which is against the law). He can go to the liquor store and buy the liquor and you all can drink at home though.
