If you know where she works, follow her to find out where she lives and steel it back, if the cops won't help you sounds like you need to help yourself....make sure you have some form of proof that the dog is yours...ie...vet records photos anything...
YOu can also take her to small claims court...just be sure you bring yor proof...good luck

Since you know where this girl works, you may want to contact the animal rescue services (SPCA, is that what you call it? Sorry, I'm from the Netherlands)....they have the authority to question this girl, and check things out further.

Of course you WILL need to have the necessary documents to prove the dog is yours, additional pics, and a copy of that poster you hung up in the shop would be a good idea too.

I REALLY hope you find your dog and get it back!!!!

I find that police will only work on evidence, there job is to act when someone gives a complaint. If a member of the public gives a complaint then the police act on it to stop vigilantie armies. I'm all in favour of the public acting togeather and stuff but the police are the big boys you should get involved.

Money talks! i would phone her again and bluff (if you have to) that you have loads of evidence and witnesses that the dog is yours, and you will be taking her to court. then i would say that as she has been feeding it etc., you are prepared to pay her a large sum of money to get it back straight away. she'll probably jump at it. what'd be better is to get a couple guys to go with you when you find out where she lives and take the dog and give her the money to keep her happy. when you get it back please get it microchipped, it'll stop this happening again.

This reminds me of a stolen horse of my grandfathers. It was taken off our ranch in south Texas and moved into Mexico. The police would not do anything in this case also. Soooo, my grandfather went down and stole the horse back.

ok what I would do is since you know where she works, I would scope it out and wait for her to leave work and follow her home..this way you would know where she lives so you can then scope out her residence the dog eventually has to go out to do her business and that would indicate whether she has your dog or not. Good luck! It looks like some dishonest people are really blowing smoke up your tush! they know who has her and its too bad that this poor dog is lost.

The dog needs to be walked sometime! Wait outside with a camera and when you see them together...snap away. Then bring your evidence to your local police.
Good Luck!

OH NO!! That would be like stealing my child. If the police wouldn't do anything to help I would definitely take matters into my own hands!!!

put the sign right in front of where she works. she may not want to give it up. so write a small reward on the sign to get her interested in giving the dog back.

Follow the girl home and see if you can hear the dog barking inside, if you can - call the police!
