i have sat with my legs crossed at the knee probably starting when i was around seven now i am fourty. i cross them every time i sit down, and always with the same leg right over left. eventually after a long period of crossing, my top leg gets numb. i have heard that crossing your legs can cause vein problems, back problems, and hip problems, i dont have any at all, but is this true that it is bad? do you cross your legs also? and are you aware it might be bad?

its called bad posture ;-) and believe me if that was a crime i would be in on it.Although you do get poor blood circulation in your legs and cause it to numb.I cross my legs every time i sit down for as long as i can remember... it can cause problems if you are not active in any other ways those veins can start to pop up and turn green.don't worry as long as your active otherwise crossing your legs shouldn't cause you any thing as long as you alternate those legs and not suffer your self to extreme pain. Its hard trust me I KNOW.

Yeah, I do it all the time as well, its just a habit I cant break. Sadly, I have started to get spider veins at my knees exactly at the spot were my legs touch when I sit like that, and my doctor said it increases the likelyhood to get thrombosis cause the blood cant circulate freely.
