Some advisors out there think it will make a difference. They feel if we pull out now, Syria, Iran and other countries will take over Iraq for their own.
I think whether or not we pull out now or later, it won't make a difference. Many people will die in a Civil War, and the surrounding countries will take it over. If there wasn't a Civil War, I think an end would be in sight.

Trying to make good of a bad situation but no doubt the body bag count will go up by the day. It's tragic really. I just hope that all those innocent don't die in vain and that we learn that killing doesn't solve anything and don't make the same mistake again.

We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: Victory -- victory -- at all costs, victory, in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.

at this point we are taking advantage of the high oil rate, but also, if we pull out of iraq it will seem like we lost and it will make other countries more likely to attack us on OUR SOIL.... We will still be sending our soliders to Iraq until there is some kind of peaceful step out politcially- which seems rather impossible at this point.
The mistake was when we all got side tracked. We went into Iraq to fight terror (which i believe was necessary) but now we are fight for the people in Iraq to take control of their country.

A better question is. Why are we there in the first place? We are supposed to be looking for Osama Bin Ladin. I think we have proved that he is not in Iraq. I would really like to see the letter to our president that says: Dear Mr. Bush, Please come to our country and destroy it to make us a democracy.
