I wonder whether any people love to slaughter dragons. I myself have never slaughtered a dragon, nor have I had any impulse to do so. It sounds like an awful lot of work, and to what purpose? Can one eat a dragon? I don't think so.

The difficulty of finding a dragon these days is enough to put most people off the task of slaughtering them. Who'd want to slog all over the world looking for a dragon? Not I.

Because dragons pose a real threat to the world. Unlike some things like Weapons of Mass Destruction and Nuclear War, dragons can annihilate whole cities with just one bit of their fire breath. Not to mention they also have sharp talons and tails that can knock you over!
Also I think you get a free Princess with every dragon slayed.

In the cultures that dragons were killed, dragons represented chaos and darkness. So the slaying of the dragon is a symbol for humanity rejecting evil and chaos. Check out the story of St. George.

I know someone that did. He thought that it was only a snake, but after he whacked it, he realized it had 8 or 10 legs. Several people saw it, none ever saw anything like it before. This happened in the 1940s. Just like a snake, but with legs. What else could it have been?
