There are a number of materials that change color with temperature. The general term for this phenomenon is called thermochromism. It was the basis of the mood rings that were a big fad in the 70's; today, you can get thermometers in the drug store that you put on your forehead and which then change color to indicate your temperature. Wikipedia has a decent article on the subject.

Many toys change colors when warm or cold water is added to them. One of the earliest toys to do this was GIJoe's color-changing Zartan toy, which changed color in warm sunlight.
