When skipping the red section, is it dangerous or harmful to skip your period. Is there any side effects and how long can u do it for?

The new birth control pill with fewer cycles is the same medicines, just packaged in different quantities. In developing that product, it was shown that it was OK for women on the pill to have a period every 3 months.
You should be able to avoid your "red section" safely for up to 3 months. But if you are on the pill to control endometiral hyperplasia or a similar disorder, don't do it unless you've been on the pill long enough to normalize your endometrium.
I think if do skip your period for 2 or 3 months, you may find that it is heavier and longer when it comes. I don't know for sure.

No not really. If you take it before your period starts than its ok but once period starts it is not advisable.

Its OK to do it once in a while, but not to do it month after month. Its safe when done occaisonally;
