This is the easiest and most cost effective way that I've found, plus it seems to work better than all those expensive cleaners.
Go and buy a bottle of Dawn dishsoap. Saturate the area where the grease is, and let it sit for 24 hours. If it's something like motor grease, not oil, after the 24 hours, scrub it with an old toothbrush and wash. The grease/oil will be gone.

As soon as you get the grease stain on your clothing if you can sprinkle some baby powder onto it that helps alot. After the fact I use either Spray and Wash or Shout and a brush. I use a generous amount and keep scrubbing (gently) till it comes out.

The best thing to use is (don't know the correct spelling) Swarveiga if u pronounced it how it is a hardware shop would know what u meant. Its in a tin or jar its a thick green gel, rub it on the grease stain, its brill. Mechanic use it to remove oil and grease it really works.

Use 1/4 cup of Cascade dishwasher detergent in hot water (dissolve it first) in your washer with regular detergent, then put in the greasy clothing. Run the load as you normally would. Dish washing detergent is made to eliminate protein grease.
My son was a grill cook at McDonald's in high school and this worked great on his horribly greasy clothing.

I generally use Spray n Wash, but I used to have this jar of goop from Stanley, called simply "Grease Remover". The only hard part is finding a Stanley representative who can order it for you.

I use laundry spray products like Spray-n-Wash, Shout, or Clorox spray treatment. They all work great and we don't wear stained up clothes. My husbands clothes do get grease on them from time to time but washes up nicely. Hope this helps.

I recommend Oxy Cleaner in the spray bottle. It works on everything, even red wine. The stains completely vanish, no kidding. By the way, at first I bought the Oxy powder and mixed it myself in a spray bottle, but the bottle exploded, and the powder never really dissolved.
