I don't know. But from what I've read, skunks make wonderful pets if you know how to care for them, but they are illegal in many places because of the rabies scare. They are legal in Wyoming, which is why I'm looking at moving up there. I've done alot of research on them, they are such beautiful wonderful animals, kinda similar to owning a ferret.

(fyi, people who keep skunks have that stinky gland removed)
i had a quick scoot around Defra and couldn't find any legislation outlawing them specifically. and also found posts on message boards from people who do keep them in the UK. i think they're just few and far between! if you are interested in getting one i would try and find a UK breeder. be wary of where the animal has come from, as with any unusual exotic animal. and they apparently are quite susceptable to rabies, so if you do get one make sure it's been tested and vaccinated. and if still concerned, contact Defra for more information! (as if theres any problems, it's going to be them coming down on you!)
and to the poster above me, i'm pretty sure skunks are native only to North America.

puppy shops do no longer sell them. They make astonishing pets. in case you get one from a astonishing breeder, the toddler will already have its fragrance glands got rid of so it won't be able to spray. they are very cute. they are variety of lazy like a cat, yet they are cuddly and clever like a dogs. They love interest! in case you have stairs on your place and you desire your skunk to be waiting to circulate from floor to floor, you will could placed ramps up. Skunks won't be able to circulate up and down stairs, yet they are able to apply ramps properly. they are greater high priced to take to the vet than a dogs or cat is. what's large is once you're taking your skunk out for a walk! haha everyone strikes to the different area of the line and gathers around in a circle obtrusive at you. it extremely is extremely hilarious. wish this helps!

ONLY IF ITS NAME IS PEPPY LE PEEW. You could buy a ferret which is a member of the polecat family. I dont think that you'll buy a skunk in England....even so you'll have to keep it isolated and miles away from other houses.

we passed laws just to prevent the stinkers from roaming all over the country plus they have a penchant for getting rabies. move to america where anything goes. we have a higher regard for civilization than hording skunks. they are not good pets i have read.

Yes you can! I knew a lady who had been researching buying one from Birmingham, apparently they don't make too bad pets. They are descented at birth and can become really friendly.
