You may be tempted to let the car run before you get in (to let it warm up; to defrost the windows). This could lead to greater gas consumption. Otherwise, it probably uses the same amount of gas as the manual start. It's an electronic system.

stable solutions already. nevertheless you look desperate, your desperation will no longer make that generator initiate. First- if that's been sitting an prolonged time, that's probable the gas has varnished interior the carb, so cranking won't get it began. 2d, i've got under no circumstances heard of a 2-cylinder motor that used the generator as a starter. third, whether you won't be in a position of work out each little thing because of the fact the genset is rusted on its rails, that would not catch up on the 1st 2 reasons it is not beginning. Sorry, yet even nevertheless you *want* this generator, it is not likely you will get it working without the components you prefer- skill, lights, etc. After issues get widespread, you could slide the generator out, get rid of it, rebuild what needs rebuilding, then re-set up it on greased rails and with Sta-Bil interior the gas. you need to hearth it up and burn a quart of gas as quickly as 1 / 4 so the generator would not fail you returned. ... stable luck!!

Remote start dose not use more gas. How long you wait to drive your car depends on how much gas you burn while it's just sitting there. If you start the car and run back inside or start it from inside .....it's the same.

Kitty -
Thanks for asking... I've been struggling with the same thing myself - - winter comes and i use my remote started and my fuel economy nose dives. I never thought that it would make such a difference (i had always believed that it was acceleration, not idling, that burned the most fuel) but holy cats! i'm struggling with it every week.
Also, it always seems to me that the car runs "harder" when it's started remotely than when I start it with the key in the ignition, but I was thinking it was my imagination.
Sorry I don't have an answer, but I can certainly comiserate!

remote starting in your car is the same as doing it manually, but in remote starting, you used a great energy because of the direct circuit line trigger..

Only because the car is runing while you wait inside for it to warm up...thats burning gas; as far as the actaul starting proceedure, no,,new fuel injected cars start electronicly...you do not have to press down on the gas pedal to start the car.

it does even if it only runs while Im walking to the car. I can hear it unrev when I unlock my car. So as soon as its running I unlock my car (in a safe area) and then relock it. still runs but a bit less gas. "They" say it runs better using less gas and maybe a short warm up is good in cold weather but my Chevy Trax can knock 2 miles off the MPG!
