If you have windows Xp put the cd in and restart the computer, boot from the cd and follow the instructions to install on a formated part of the drive!

Get out the distribution disks for the operating system (ie. Windows XP). Reboot the system with the CD in the optical drive. At the point that the install program asks you about which partition to install the operating system on, drop the primary partition then reset the primary partition to whatever size you want it to be. Format the partition in the next step, the let the install do its thing.

go into bios at start up
( when you get the chance to hit the little delete key on your keyboard)
make sure your cdrom is your first bootable device then save , once your computer is running hit reboot & insert your favorite operating system cd & follow on screen instructions

Warning: this operation will remove ALL information on your hard drive.!!!!
Place your Operating system ( Windows XP or ME or...) disk in
It will give you options as to what you want to do. Choose format
It will, when done, allow you to re-install the OS

you don't, you format your hardisk using some kind of partition manager or Windows install gives you the option

Use an Electromagnetic Pulse or Deguass gun.

Pros: Deletes all traces of porn.
Cons: Probably deletes your BIOS too.

you can't, you can only format recordable media ie your HDD
