For the mouse:
Go to Start->Control Panel
Double click the "Mouse" icon.
Select the "Hardware" tab.
Look down at the "Device Status" box. Does it say "device working properly"? If not, try the troubleshoot button.
Also, make sure the mouse is plugged into the right port.

If it says device working properly, and the mouse is plugged into the right port, it may not be an issue with the mouse but an issue with the PC. Especially if it's doing it with several different kinds of mice.

The PC running slow:
first, run a virus scan.
Then defrag:
Start->Accessories->System Tools->Disk Defragmentor.
Choose C:/ and click defrag. It may take a while depending on how long it's been since you did it last and how much available memory you have.

It sounds as if you may need a new mouse driver. Get the driver from the manufacturer and then go to Device Manager and uninstall it. When the system boots up the next time it is going to say, "New Hardware Found." Just follow the prompts and tell it where you have put the driver. The operating system will do the rest.

Do a virus scan and a spyware scan as a suddenly slow pc is big hint to having a Trojan virus.
Also ensure that the mouse (devices) are working correctly by going to:

↓ Control Panel
↓ Printers and other hardware
↓ Mouse
↓ Hardware Tab

And make sure it is fully installed.
If not then I sugget you have damage the mouse ports/USB port.

it cannot be a software problem as it works on other computers so the best bet is to either get a new mouse (they do wear out somtimes) or open it up and clean the micro switch (the black(?) clicky thing)

the slow part could be to do with viruses or your ram might have become disconnected

hope this works :)

peace out :)
