Hey all, thank you if you are reading my question, I'd just like to ask, is it better to view my computer monitor with glasses but the screen pushed very far away, or without glasses and the screen closer (about half the distance of the screen distance with the glasses).
I currently have 2 pairs of glasses and I wear the weaker ones for my computer and my others for other activities, please fill me in, it's very hard to find an answer through search engines.

If anything else is needed the monitor is about 80 cm away from my face with glasses, but around 30-45cm away from my face with glasses.

So yeah which is the most healthier option.
If you need any more details please just ask, I will reply, will be checking the topic everyday for a bit.

Thank You!
~Supaweak
PS. Sorry I wasn't sure if this question should of been in Health or Computers, please correct me if I'm in the wrong spot! Thanks!

50 cm away from the screen is a good range, but if you can't see at that distance without your glasses then you're better off with your glasses on, don't end up squinting. 30cm is too close.

There's no real health difference whether you wear your glasses or not on the computer, the only important point is to look up regularly to readjust your eyes, if you don't do this you will be training your eyes to be even more shortsighted.

Do whichever you can see the screen with the best. My wife has the same issue, and she often goes between the two while on the PC. She sees better with the glasses, but is too far from the screen and gets a headache. So she will take them off and close in for a while, then put them on and sit back.

Whatever works the best for you....

Personally I wear my glasses as it stops me straining my eyes. I find it helps when I look at the screen for a long time. Use the pair which make viewing the screen sharp and clear.

I would say where you can always go without your glasses. I am also short sighted and due to always reading with my glasses on even at points i did not need to, it has therefore made my eyesight deteriorate, but be aware that having your screen that close can give you headaches, so always take a break.

You can improve your vision just by practicing the correct approach for ten minutes a day.
You can check this technique: http://improvevision.toptips.org

Basically what glasses do is bolt the eyes into their refractive state and in order to transparent your lenses you need to keep up the poor vision that the lenses are intended to correct.
This program demonstrates to you a proved method to improve your vision naturally, permanently and with complete results.

Wear glasses, but go to an optomatrist and get special computer glasses.
