If you like architecture, most definitely. The Gaudi buildings are amazing and unlike anything you've seen elsewhere. The Sagrada Familia church is unbelievable when you see all the details up close.

Foodwise, there's great tapas, red wine, seafood, cheese if you like that type of thing.

Shopping, I found great deals on leather.

Yes - stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelona.htm for more details

Oh my god and is it ever. I visit there minimun twice a year. I keep saying that I will see other things, but find myself drawn back there over and over.

Places to stay.. try http://www.bookings.es enter Barcelona and then pick city center.
On the left is a map with the hotels on it and each hotel has lots of information and guest reviews.
Also some of the best prices I have ever gotten on hotels.

Things to do, places to see, places to eat... try

More infomation then you can shake a stick at.

Be sure not to miss the monistary Montserrat. You can drive there from Barcelona on the A2 or take the train. About 1 hour outside the city and WELL worth the trip

Barcelona has become among the first tourist location of Spain since it understands how exactly to please the large majority : with a history among the oldest in Europe, a city that never rests and an inland packed with attraction, unique beautiful beaches in La Costa Brava and you will see all this in the event that you take a look with hotelbye first. The variety of imaginative secrets, the Romanesque churches and the great titles in modern art and architecture like: Dali, Gaudi, Miro and Picasso provide Barcelona a spot in the set of cities you have to see.
