I'm sorry - in your hand or in your head? I would assume hand because you said you can move your fingers. But either way, if you're feeling pain, at the very least contact the doctor who performed the surgery. Describe the symptoms to him or her and let your doctor decide. As far as I'm concerned, any time there's pain involved, especially at a previous surgical site, there should be a doctor involved.

My mother and a friend both as "cyst-y" people. They have to have them removed, too. I find it odd that your surgeon didn't warn you they may come back, for example, I had a bone tumour and my doctor told me they sometimes come back. Both my mother and friends' doctors told them, too. You may want to call the nurse at the orthopedic surgeon's office or if you went to another kind of doctor before, you should consult with an orthopedict surgeon. That's their specialty.

call your doctor....
i had a cyst removed in my foot and they told me that it's possible for those kinds of things to come back...
