I was reading the answers about a pro-life vs. pro-choice question and was quite surprised at the number of men who said they are against abortion. So if you were 15 and got your girlfriend pregnant, you would go ahead and be a single father if your gf wasnt ready to be a Mom? How about if your teenaged son was in that situation?

Hi Cyborg..I agree with you..if a man wants the woman to have an abortion and she CHOOSES to be a single mother , I dont believe she should ask for child support..it's just one of the MANY things to think about when people choose to have sex with someone who isnt their spouse..

A man who was against abortion would probably change his mind, if he was 15 and he got his gf pregnant. This wouldn't happen to someone who was innocent, one has to commit statutory rape to get in this situation. Men are not going to feel sorry for a 15 year old boy who appears to be getting it from a 15 year old girl, so the principle is, if you did something immoral you should suffer the consequences.

Great question. As a women a know a couple of men whos girlfriends and wives aborted. They told me they did want the child and would have raised it. As for my son. Yes i would want him to take reponsibility for the baby. I would also help him while he was in school and college. i would not raise the baby, but help him. I have 5 children and don't want any of them to become parents to young. But young children need to know that with sex comes responsibility not only to yourself, but the baby you create.
I also believe if you chose to keep the baby and the man doesn't want it. he should not be forced to pay child support or have any rights. It's sad really. More people should be looking out for the children and not themselves.

Here is the reverse question. If a Man believes in abortion and wants it and the woman does not. Should he still have to pay child support because he does not want the kid. We know the answer to that already though. The woman makes the ultimate choice no matter what the man wants. So your question is moot. For myself, I would take the kid and ask nothing in return but the child. I love my kids and would take them no matter what. If she does not want anything to do with the kids then so be it I would take them for myself and I would want nothing in return but the kids. I could care less about support. But if you don;t pay don;t come crying about wanting the kids later then..

Pro-life. Any option but an abortion. Be a single father. Or help my kid be a single father. Or, if other circumstances didn't allow this, give the child up for adoption.

i would raise that baby in a heart beat! and even if i couldn't tere are others out there that would, abortion in my opinion is the worst kind of birth control there is. the woman says it's her body and she can do what she wants, that baby is a seperate body and should be allowed a fighting chance to live. i guess by her own argument if the baby is a female it has a right to choose! you see sarcasm becomes me also!

The men and boys who are against infant-killing (1) would not be inclined to get girls pregnant in the first place, and (2) would be prone to accept responsibility in the rare event they did.

You argument is another one that doesn't make sense, with all due respect. When a person has been influenced by liberalism, it makes sense to the person, but not to others who have real understanding.
