there is no longer an 'X' in it because of the fact there is no longer a 'X 'interior the Italian alphabet, if there became it could then be Expresso, as reported formerly, this is been anglicised. Take a relax pill.

People say "expresso" because they're used to saying other words that start with an "ex" sound.
I've heard people say "expecially" instead of "especially" too!
