Yes, "Somewhere Out There" from James Ingram, and Linda Ronstadt, from "An American Tale". I met my boyfriend on the internet. Yes, I know, believe me, I've been thru some weirdo's too, but sometimes you have to keep digging until you find your diamond. And, he is mine. We lived a little over 2 hours apart. We talked on IM for several weeks, then went to the phone. We both lived in the country, so we would have to go outside to use our cell phones at night. So, when the opening verse in the song talks about "Somewhere out there, underneath the deep blue sky, someone is loving me tonight." Well............. that just became our song. We talked on the phone for another few weeks. We finally agreed to meet, and I just knew he was the one. It's really something to have someone who really loves you despite our faults. I had been going thru a terrible sickness, and three major surgeries all at the same time. I was hesitant on meeting him, because I was still on oxygen at the time. But, he was very persistant, and said he didn't care. Which, later, he proved that to be true. Wherever we went he carried my oxygen tank, ha ha. He was really great about the whole thing. Now, thankfully, with a lot of physical therapy, and a whole lot of patience, I am getting my health back. I'm happy to say I'm at least off of the oxygen during the day, which makes things so much easier. He moved to the town I live in, in October. He proposed on Christmas Eve, in front of all of my family. But, I think the sweetest thing was..... about a week before he proposed, he had talked to my parents, and asked for my hand in marriage. He's still old fashioned. It was really sweet, and my parents were touched. (Especially since I'm 36). So, now we're planning our wedding, and fixing up my grandparents old farmhouse to live in, while we save to build our own house. It's amazing, that a year ago, I never thought I would live long enough to see Christmas this year, and here I got engaged................. It still gets to me................. So, that's my story. It's not your normal love story, but hey, at my age, I still feel like Cinderella. :)

Ours is actually a black sabbath song, right now. I know what you're thinking, Black Sabbath?! How is that possible?! You'd have to listen to and know the song, "NIB" to understand. It's actually reeeally sweet! It's what plays on my phone when he calls me. We're both learning to play it on the guitar too.

Some people say my love cannot be true
Please believe me my love and I'll show you
I will give you those things you thought unreal
The sun the moon the stars all bear my seal

Follow me now and you will not regret
Leaving the life you led before we met
You are the first to have this love of mine
Forever with me 'till the end of time

That's just part of it, but of course it does mention Lucifer in it too! lol!!!

"From This Moment" Shania Twain...our wedding song. We were days away from the wedding and still didn't have a song, so we chose this one...it is special now and I always call my hubby whenever it is playing and put the phone up to the speaker.

On the other hand...the song "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" Sting (or the Police) makes me want to vomit and destroy any radio that it is polluting

Funny how songs can evoke such strong emotions, huh?

My husband and I have a song. It is Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. He proposed to me while this was playing. I should mention, I looked like crap that night. We had been out shovelling snow and my hair was a mess from my hat, I was in ratty sweats and ugly snow boots. We went to a bar to pick up his parents so they wouldn't have to pay a cab to come home. He asked the band to play Wonderful Tonight and proposed to me in the middle of the dance floor. I was all worried about how I looked and he said, "I've seen you at your best and I've seen you at your worst. I still love you and think you are the most beautiful woman I've ever known." Naturally, I cried and said "Yes."
We've been married almost 13 years and he still tells me how beautiful I am and how wonderful I have made his life.

Well, when I first met my husband he made me a compilation tape which had the Beatles' song "I Feel Fine" on it. However the little joke was, that "fine" (spelt differently, not sure without checking) is the Irish Gaelic for ummmm a va a va lady parts :P

So the line "I'm in love with you and I feel fine" made us giggle.
Still does :P
