No. Every astronaut that I've heard on tv says that in space, you can see far more stars than anyone can on Earth. We're just a small part of the milky way galaxy, so you would be able to see stars in every possible direction.

Naturally, there is not much light coming from our sun at Voyager's distance. It simply appears as one of many stars.

Astronauts, whenever they are asked about this, say that the sky is "grey with stars" whenever they turn off the interior lights when they are on the dark side of the Earth.

Yes, since there is nothing in deep space to be illuminated. Most light would be from stars in our galaxy.

Intergalactic space will be even darker.
