My school has arranged a trip to Paris but my best friend can't afford to go so she won't go.But the problem is that i don't want to go without her because i don't like the other kids even though she will tell some other kids to be with me.They will say ok but when she's not in front of them they will not pay attention to me!What should i do?I have a twin sister but i don't want to be with her.Should i risk being with the other people or stay home?I really want to go but not without my best friend!Any advise?

I can pay her whole ticket but she doesn't want. The school said that if someone has financial problem all kids will pay 5 euros for example to raise money but she says that no one will want to give money to help her so it doesn't even worth trying!

Yea, i agree with the first answer. Paris is one of those once in a life-time opportunities and if you don't go now, something else might come up and you may not ever end up going.
However, I have a bestfriend too and have been in a similar situation like yours (nothing's really as fun unless you have your bestie by your side). One thing you could prob do (depending on your financial situation is offer to pay half of the trip for her so that later on when she has the money she can pay you back - atleas you'll have her there to enjoy the experience with you in Paris.

Well it seems a shame that your friend should stay home if this is a school project and they have said they can help. Maybe your friend wouldn't mind your asking some of the adults in charge if there is any way to help her go. You have already said you could help donate the cost. If you helped donate to a separate scholarship, perhaps it could be offered to her on that basis...and she would feel more free to take it from the school. Do you see what I mean?
I also don't think you should stay home for that reason alone if you can help it....how often do you get a chance in your life to travel to Paris? But work on helping your friend go....she probably wants to...just doesn't want to feel like a charity case. The school adults in charge should know how to make this work with your offer of help. Just be careful not to offend your friend in the process.

Irene,
This is a opportunity that may never come again ... you may not think so now ..but in the future you will regret not seeing the world when you have the chance.
Try to get a local sponcer or fund raised to get you friend the needed cash to go .... Perhaps you as a school group can raise extra cash for the trip the same way ..... You never know until you try!
Good Luck

You should go. Paris is a great and beautiful city.. and even if you would be alone all the trip, which i don't think will be the case, you should go just because you have the opportunity.
Don't care so much about other people.. Just see it as an individual experience. GO GO GO!!
You wont regret it!

Darling, you need to start living YOUR life. Paris is going to be a great experience with or without her. You guys are not joined at the hip, so why don't you go out and explore stuff on your own? It could be a great learning experience. Try not to be so co-dependent. It's not healthy.

I would just go ahead and buy the ticket for her and make her go, tell her that she has to go so she (and you) doesnt regret it later in life. If she feels bad about the money tell her that she can pay you back in the future.

Raise some money. Yard sale, garage sale, donation, sponsor or whatever. It would be more meaningful to go w/ your friend with the money you guys earned.

Just pay for your friend's trip if you want her to go that bad. Why you just go by yourself then apparently you are using your friend to get friends.
