Why does this question come up every day? What is this fixation with penguins and knees?

Penguins are birds. They have the same basic structure as every other bird and their leg bones are the same as every orther bird from Ostriches to hummingbirds. Penguins have knees as much as chickens do.

By the way, only two species of penguin breed exclusively on the edge of the Antarctic, the other 15 species are spread around the southern hemisphere with one species on the equator in the Galapagos islands.
