I don't think the UK will join. I cannot see economic advantages for the UK to join the EU.

The EU was formed to give economic power to struggling European nations. The UK is a world power on its own. It would provide much benefit to the EU, but none to the UK.

The United Kingdom may adopt the euro in time, but I do not believe it will be anytime soon. You have the pound sterling which is almost double the value of the euro. Of course, I am looking at it strictly from that economic standpoint. If the UK were to adopt the euro, it could streamline its economy with the rest of western Europe and bring in more international investments from the Continent.

i think of that's going to likely be no longer likely that we will undertake the Euro contained in the close to destiny (even nevertheless in some factors it would be particularly handy - i do no longer comprehend if everybody else right here has adequate Euro replace knocking around to sink a small battleship, yet I certainly do and in basic terms prefer to apply it up! :o>). it would be a annoying component for politicians to make extensive-unfold adequate and (sarcastically) it would ruin the bank (Euros or £) to preserve the conversion. (think of switching something that may settle for funds/notes to Euros, re-coaching the typical public, ensuring that bills, wages structures, etc are switched over in time, etc as a bare minimum and you get the assumption). In a recession i do no longer think of that's that probable. Politically it would additionally be a nightmare. in spite of the undeniable fact that, some shops in important London do settle for Euros besides as £ so there may be a glimmer of accuracy in what your chum shows approximately coin machines in a position to settle for them.
