ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, I THINK.

2007-01-29 16:02:45 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 5 0

First of all.. to all the ones who think this country is doing fine.. what country are they living in??? This country is a mess.. we fight unmerited wars, we teach to hate, we are so far in debt and we keep spending. We are over taxed, double taxed and taxed on the taxes. Our military stategy is a joke around the world, not saying we aren't powerful, but we have no support. The government is run by political parties and their own agendas. We elect a president from a very small list of unqualified people. The most qualified men never run as they don't want their youth to come back and haunt them. and splashed accross the press that maybe they smoked pot or had sex with someone other then the now wife... The oil companies and insurance companies buy and own every political decision.. We have so many people who are unable to recieve health assistance as they have no insurance. Race is a huge issue and nothing is truly be done about it. Kids are now carrying guns to schools. Kids have no respect for their parents, and parents stop being parents and are too busy trying to make ends meet, they don't have time for family. so kids hang out and try and be a thugs( I can't help but laugh when i see the kids trying so hard to act tough). Drugs (not pot) are way out of hand. Schools do nothing and are becoming way too political. You are better off to home school as teachers are for the most part not qualified to teach. The police depts are more corrupt then the maffia. Doctors are being controlled by the pharmacitical companies. Small business is failing.. Our freedom of speech is be slowly being taken away. Our right to privacy is now gone.. Our elections are bought.. our politicians lie to us (but it's considered legal) and then cover up their lies and mistakes. Now to get to Bush?? I don't think i need to make a comment on him.. Anyone who can somehow in their own mind justify and support this man is so far out of touch it's pathetic. Either they are so far up their parties a s s they are blinded by all the s h i t it puts out, or they are just some redneck backwoods ignorant slime that just crawled out of the swamp which has no ability to think on their own and see things as they really are. So... yes the country is a mess... But as long as politicians, oil companies, insurance companies, and pharm companies are involved it will never change. I agree to rid the political party structure and to vote in office the man or woman who is best to handle the changing world. Not allow political parties to keep in tact their own political agendas.. Get rid of the high financed presidential race, and make it possible for the best person to run the country without political assignments. In other words.. make the presidential race funded by the people and our mis-spent tax dollars and keep the press out of the smear campaign they use to sell papers..

It is true in every country, I suppose. And it is natural too. Not that it means that people who are ugly are shunned in this age of civility and political correctness. But that is all about external beauty or physical beauty. Inner beauty is hardly detected and accorded the dignity it deserves.

beauty is welcomed in every country not just in your country. But dont you ever kid yourself into believing that only beauty is welcomed and all others are rejected. Anyways beauty has many forms.

Yes. But how long does physical beauty last. You can be run over by a car. If your happiness is based on physical beauty you r stage will go up and down.
Inner beauty is far more important.

i dont know about your country but here in the united states I would definately agree . Our society as a whole values appearance way too much and that is why we have a generation of anorexic teens and some twenty yr. olds that have been hospitalized . It is way ridiculous.

I agree. The thing about beauty is that it's only skin deep, and people tend to forget that. To love someone the way he/she is and not want to change anything about them, now that is REAL beauty!

Which country? USA? Sorry, I have to disagree. In my country, for something or someone to be considered beautiful, they have to meet very strict criteria.

I married a woman from Asia. Its made me realized how lucky we are to live in the USA. The opportunity it provides her friends for a better life financially. You also see and learn how others live in these other countries and the opportunity we have in the US is amazing compaired to most other countries.

i do agree..
but there are people who feel that beauty is not the appearence but the nature & behaviour:
it's that how do u look at people around you & how do you treat them...
beauty means generocity to me.

I forget which author it was, but I'm reminded of a quote - "Beauty justifies every success, and forgives a certain number of failings"
