You really won't have any huge problems by leaving it on, but I recommend you turn it off at the end of the day. I also know that Windows is known to run a little sluggish after it awakes from its 12 hour sleep mode. Some programs just doesn't get along with that feature.

I think it is better to turn off your PC if you’re not going to use it for a while (e.g. for several hours). Turning off your pc every night will allow you hardware cool down and make them last longer.
