Like all areas, if you have an interest to work with animasl check out different types of careers you can have working with them and go to school to get proper training to do it! Also, if you want to get some experience I suggest doing volunteer work in your area. Animal rescue centers, wildlife programs etc can give you the oppurtunity to work with animals and help them aswell!

My 7 year old also LOVES animals. When she grows up, she wants to work with the tigers at our local theme park! Talk to your school counsler about your goals, they should be able to guide you in the right direction. There is plenty to do inthe animal field. (Cute...our daughter has never played with dolls, she is the only little girl I know of that pushes her stuffed animals around in a doll stroller)

Well, it would help if you could tell us what TYPE of job you'd like to do with animals??
Vet??
Zoo keeper??
To be a vet, you'd need to get a vetinary science degree... Or, alternatively, what you could do is go to South Africa and help with endangered animals there and work in the wildlife sanctuaries.

First there are Veterinarians, full blown College.
Then there are Vet Techs, not sure of requirements for degree.
and Volunteers.
Go to the local SPCA and volunteer your free time. It will be appreciated, you'll answer this question for yourself, and animals, animals, animals.
Good Luck

There are several large pet-sitting companies in your area, and they may need extra help. They will require you to be at least 18 because of their insurance's conditions. You can go to petsit.com to find sitters in your area.
