The way he dismantle Haas was very convincing. Just curious about your views.

He certainly has the potential. Federer was "shaken" by the ease that Gonzalez destroyed Nadal, especially considering Nadal had a 6-3 record against Federer. Some of the statistics that Gonzalez has had in his matches are truly frightening: 45 winners, 3 unforced errors against Haas, 35 winners and 1 unforced error in the first 2 sets against Hewitt. He is certainly playing the best tennis that anyone has seen since Roger Play his great matches, the only thing that would stop Fernando from producing one of the all time great contests is if he is overawed by the occassion. He is yet to play in a grand slam final, which can be a positive and a negative: He will play on adrenilin and hopefully produce some brilliant tennis like Baghdatis did in the first set and a half in last years final. But never having been there may have a detrimental effect on Gonzalez as he is unaware of what it takes to beat a man who has won 9 out of the 10 grand slam finals he has contested! I hope Gonzalez can produce the scintillating tennis he has show to destroy Nadal, Blake, Haas and Hewitt, WE WILL BE IN FOR AN ABSOLUTE CRACKER OF A FINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not going to happen. Federer has dominated Gonzalez in the past and is the champ. Although I am tempted to go for the underdog, Federer dismantled and constantly frustrated Andy Roddick. Roddick looked to be playing his best ever tennis even beating Federer in an exhibition but Federer dominated and even surprised himself.

Score: Federer wins 6-3 6-1 7-6

Federer will dismantle Gonzalez. If Federer plays like he did that day, I'd say Federer in 4 or 5 sets. If Federer ups his game from the semis, Gonzalez will be owned. Totally.

I think Gonzalez has a great chance to win, I am sure he wants it more than Federer. Plus Federer has been a bit shaky prior to the match against Roddick. Gonzalez needs a good game plan and to stay really focused. It would be nice to see someone else win for a change, especially someone who has worked so hard to get there.

I loved the way he beat Nadal in straight sets. I dont know but he definetly is one to watch this year and next. Federer has experience on his side if Gonzalez dont win this year in Australia look for him to next year. And watch for him this year on the tour I think he will soon be in the top 5 in a few more tournaments. Prediction: Pain and Federer in 5 sets.

absolutely not. My guess Federer will win in straight sets, probably a tiebreaker in the first, so something like 7-6 (2), 6-4, 6-4.
