my cast has loosed up everywhere but around my fingers.my fingers tingle and sometimes they feel numb. doctor said he will take it off in three weeks. would there be a down side to have them change the cast at this point? there is no discoloration as far as i can tell.

Yeah, that first cast should have only been a temporary one until the swelling went down. No downside to having it changed, you are bending it without thinking and it will take longer to heal. Get yourself a new cast or a new doctor.

Just listen to the Doctor's suggestions. He would know best.

then it's all right but I would go a the e.r and ask questions with another doctor.

after damaging a joint you will always have discomfort and as you age you will develop arthritis
