I downloaded limewire over christmas and then decided to take it off my computer..... since I did that I keep getting a message box pop up every 5 minuets that says...... LIMEWIRE LAUNCHER ERROR......Limewire was unable to load the java runtime environment, please download and install a newer version from www.java.com.
Its really annoying because you just get into your work and it stops you.....how can I get this off my system, ive completly cleared the Limewire programme but obviously not the hidden things like this.......thanks

try running the following two menus of ccleaner, it should clear what is left of limewire
cleaner > Analyze > Run Cleaner
issues > Scan For Issues > Fix Selected Issues

Also go to your Search Options and type in Limewire. When the Folders come up, right click them and click delete. Then Reboot.

you may have left the box checked for start on start up when u installed it. try looking in my comp c for the limewire folder.. i use all the time never any probs. lyndontracey@yahoo.co.uk

Ccleaner will mop it up. Use the Issues tool then the Cleaner. You may have to try it in safe mode but it usually works in a normal boot.

Having uninstalled some programs , using add/remove in control panel, I have then gone Start/ my computer/ click on C drive/ programs, and found stuff in there, which you can safely right click/delete

try the 'Ashampoo' site , they got a program , i think it's called 'winoptimizer' or similar , it finds orphan files & junk like that & gives you the option to delete them . even if you get a trial version it should do that one job

you need to into docs and settings or programs and there will be a little file that you need to erase
