Bone healing takes around 6 weeks but rehabilitation to full function can take months longer...depending on the type of break, position and damage to surrounding tissues;

i twisted mine years ago and it killed ... so a broken ankle will take a little while to recover . wow i bet it hurts.

my wife broke hers 9 years ago and she is on her 5th surguery it was broke in 4 places she had a lot of pain but it never realy goes away she still has alot of problems with it so be careful and do what your doc says stay off it let it heal

I would say 2 months but when you were treated did they not tell you this info at the hospital?
