in Egypt its two pin plugs ,it was always a problem for me .. but i bought the switch from London its a vailable every where even in Cairo its for 5.00EGP not more but better u get it from the UK no to spoil ur vacation its easy to find it ...Enjoy your trip

Ummm no they will not have foreign plugs in Egypt. If your electrical equipment does not work then your things are foreign in Egypt.

On board ship, I don't know. I suppose it depends on the Liner. In Egypt itself, they have the standard European-style two round pin sockets.

depends who operates the cruise liners, if a british firm then it will probably have british plugs

it is not a problem at all, you can find switch soo easy here around, many shops sell it and not soo much may be 1 euro or less. or you can bring one with u.
