most of them, yes.here is this trick: when you want to wash something red for the first time, soak it overnight in lukewarm water in a filled cloth washer.this technique will let you get rid of the excess dye pigments in the garment. in the morning take it out of the washer, drain it, fill it again with water, add detergent and wash as normal separately and mostly you won't have to wash it separately again

Not all red clothes bleed, but some will until the excess dye is out of the fabric. You could have the same problem with other dark colored fabrics as well. That's why you should wash dark colored clothes together. It's also a good idea to wash something, by itself, before you wear it as well. If you're really concerned about red stains, there is a product out there by Shout called 'Color Catcher.' You throw one of the sheets into the washer with your clothes & dyes that come off your clothes go on to the sheets & not your wash. I use them all the time and they really do work. You can find them in the laundry aisle.

No, not all red clothes bleed. You should always check the tag for the water temperature in which you should wash them., ant to be sure use a 10 degrees colder water. Usually good quality clothes don't bleed.

No. The label should say wash separately if it does, but will probably say that even if it doesn't.
For instance, a red Fruit of the Loom T shirt will not bleed.

not if you set them in cold water!! if you think they're going to bleed, dont set your washer to hot /warm water. i wash all my whites AND dark colors together in cold water. if theres been any bleeding, its so minuscule that i cant really tell. saves time AND lowers the electricity bill!

no, but if you use those new "color catcher" cloths, it won't matter. they work great and are available at most stores like walmart.
