Well, it looks like I'm not the only one seeking reassurance on this...
Here's the deal:
I'm usually on birth control, because my period comes twice a month if I'm not. After one cycle, I forgot to take the pills, and by the time I remembered, it would have been stepping on the next cycle, so I decided to just let it come. I knew it would, because it usually happens TWICE a month. How could I suspect that it wouldn't come at ALL this month?? But the problem is, I don't know exactly when my last one was. All I know is, it's been more than a month, and every day I hope that every little stomach pain is cramps. But it never is. Of course I'm a little paranoid, because my boyfriend and I, who had been seperated for months, have just started being sexually active again.... BUT we DEFINITELY haven't done THAT. Mostly because I've been so paranoid. We didn't do the pull-out method, or anything stupid like that. So basically I just want confirmation... I can't be pregnant, right??

I mean, how long can those things live...? Certainly one little bugger couldn't have got in, I dunno, by my bed or my hands...?

Part of the wonderful effect of taking birth control pills in cases where the hormonal cycle is not working properly is that it does tend to correct the problem after you quit taking the pill. So you may have simply had your own natural hormonal cycle corrected and won't have two cycles per month anymore. Now to the question at hand, if you haven't had sex at all, meaning that your BF penis came nowhere in the vicinity, then you would not be pregnant. They do not swim through the air, you can't get pregnant from the sheets, your hands, or any other way than getting the matches and the gasoline in the same neighborhood. If you did have sex, even using a condom, then there is a possiblity. If you had relations like Bill and Monica, then you are safe. If you really need to set your mind at ease, go buy a home pregnancy test today and do the test first thing in the morning. If you are, it should show up, and if you aren't you can exhale. Now, you need to go see your gyn though, because you need to get your pills going again or this question will come up again. If you are this forgetful, you might want to consider Depo shots. If you want to keep taking the pill, then you need to put the pack in a spot you will encounter every single day. I used to keep mine in my purse with the car keys, as a way of reminding myself. I had a girlfriend who kept hers on top of the undies stack, and another who had hers by the toothpaste. Whatever works best for you, but definitely a spot you know you will have to touch everyday.

It sounds like you have an abnormal cycle anyway. It's possible that being on the pill threw it off in the first place. I'd recommend you take a pregnancy test to give yourself some peace of mind. Then, perhaps talk to your Doc about other methods of contraception - something that wont require you to remember every day if thats an issue for you. There's that new ring that might be a good option...good luck.

Sperm can live in your body for more than one day...5-7 days in fact. Take an home-pregnancy test or go visit your doctor. make sure you are using at least SOME type of birth control next time. And the pull-out method is not one of them. Maybe condoms? It will take another month or so to be regular with your birth control pills again.

Cripes. Pregnancy testing kits are in the dollar stores for a buck. Condoms are pretty cheap, too. Why do people play "russian roulette" with their lives and other's lives. Get yourself a calendar, girl and mark the days of your periods with a big RED "X"! It's so easy to keep track. If you are in school, don't you have an organizer with a calendar in it?

Birth control pills can mess up a cycle real bad and so can stress. Oh! and messing with sperm can, too! Buy a test kit, then see your doctor either way. Pregnancy? Maybe not...tumors, possible, your cycle is messed up. Get it straightened out soon.

Chances are you are not pregnant, but you do sound stressed out. That can cause all kinds of symptoms including some similar to pregnancy.
Get yourself a home pregnancy test, just in case you aren't being completely honest here. If you are being completely honest, it will set your mind at ease.

Hey if you haven't actually done it between your last period and now there's no way you could be! Sperm cannot live outside the human body for more than a few minutes so you cannot get pregnant transfering it on your hands. Why don't you do a test to put your mind at rest.

They live just for 24 hours so you don't have to worry about it. The problem is when you take pills for a while your body mechanism changes and that is what happened. Keep taking these pills or use the condom. A child is something that you have to think a lot before having it.

Go to the store and buy a pregnancy kit for 5.00.

They're pretty accurate.

Take the test, don't guess, find out.
