This is an invalid question because universe was not created by anyone. It has always been there and will always be there. It has no beginning and no end. The earth can get destroyed, the sun and moon can blast but the universe is the One that encapsulates everything. If you are trying to implicate god as the creator, then the universe itself is the god. God is an idea, a concept. An universe is a concept too. It doesn't have a form but it holds everything in it. So the creator of the universe does not exist.

Your question presupposes that it was created by some external force. Why not give a try to rational thinking and ask HOW was the universe created? Then we all will be able to supply with ample info about Big Bang Theory, etc.
But in case you are religious, and need a religious answer (considering it was God who created the universe), each religion has some or other explanation for it. I don't know what religion you follow, but you will surely find the answer in your scriptures.

This is the old "Why am I here" question.

O.K. In order to understand the reason for creation you would have to understand Gods reasoning and motivations. Since God is inafable and is therefore beyond the comprehesion of man, it is highly unlikly that you are going to get an iformed answer to this question.

Personnally, I like 42. It is as good an answer as any and is about as accurate and informed as the rest.

Luck
