I'm 37 and have 4 kids,i've had enough of paying too much for a car and seeing my planet die around me.I don't like the people on the roads at the moment,i used to drive a lorry for a long time but gave that up too.
i meet alot more people when i walk and get the bus,and believe me they are nicer than the tossers on the road!!

No it's ok not to have a cell phone or a car. Some people are just not so nice and friendly so they say that you are odd. But you are Excellently special!

I think people might be getting you mixed up with a technofreak, who is scared of technology. You will have reasons for not using these like most people. I walk or get the bus as it is cheaper for me to do so as I only work about 20-30 mins from my house, im not going to buy a car just because most others have one. I do have a mobile phone however but there are others like you who don't. People who are different and don't follow the trend tend to get teased or bullied, but good on you for being different don't let others make you doubt yourself. Your probably perfectly fine. x

quite right mate. two years ago, i gave up driving altogether.just found it too stressful and basically made me into a classic road rage driver, following dudes all round town, slowing up to snear and swear at them, cutting other drivers up and overtaking along the inside lane, tail gaiting and jumping the lights.it was terrible.now, i take the bus and leave the driving to someone else and you should hear the bus driver moaning about other drivers!I travel by train and during the summer, cycle to work. my stress levels are very low and i feel much healthier.at the bus stop today, watched the cars whizzing along, doing more than 30, thats for sure and generally only one person in each car, think about all the emmissions.theyre stuck in their cramped little cars and im outside enjoying the fresh air, listening to the birds singing and keeping fit at the same time.theres no repairs to pay for, no high fuel costs, no insurance, no m.o.t,no tax and im doing my bit for the environment.

In sociology, just like in genetic study, the desire of "civilised men" to perfect the society on one hand and mankind on the other, that desire I mean is pushing the whole world to perdiction. A car is to make long distances shorter. But some of us are so lazy and senseless that we think we can even to the store next our house in car! Putting it in a shell, I PRESCRIBE u walking. The more u walk, the healthier u are physically, psychologically and all. I mean beyong meeting people, keep on walking at any oppportunity to u given. The "moving irons" are doing more harm than good tu us. Do u want to mention pollution, accidents or loneliness? It's all about moving iron. And they occupy more space than we do. I wish we have another planet to park them on. They are making us stupid.

No... I don't think that you are odd. I have a car as I work 45 mins from my home and public transport is a nightmare, the location is impossible to get to so need a car. However when I am at home I NEVER use my car always walks to shops, town etc.

Absolutely not....you are actually smarter than most....why?
No car, no Insurance, no gasoline ....
No cell phone, people can only reach you the old-fashioned way, when you are at home....they can't track you down at the most inconvenient times. You are definitely a smart person, not an oddball at all.

Although I have a mobile phone, I don't drive, and few members of my family drive. None of my immediate family do. I get the bus to college, and I walk wherever possible. You're not odd or alone at all.

No road rage, no queering in traffic sucking in exhaust fumes, no frustration at the other idiots on the road who can not drive, saving the planet with your conscious effort to take public transport.

Everybody is just jealous that you can give up other people think they can live with out.

Well done and congrats

Do you have anywhere to go by car?

Do you like to call people on a mobile phone?

If the answer to these questions is no, then I think you are OK

no! you are certainly no odd ball!,people seem to think it is absolutely necessary to have a car or mobile phone, you don't have to be like everyone else and you'd be alot better off with out them no expense to pay out,no radiation to the brain and plenty of exercise without the car! do what you feel is right dont listen to anyone else but yourself :)
