Hi, I'm a healthy 25 yr old male, I eat a healthy diet and drink more than 2 litres of water per day. I use a good antibacterial face wash and moisturise every morning and night. I take a multi vitamin, including cod liver oil to help my skin. I also do a lot of exercise - cardio and weigh training on a daily basis

Not that my skin is noticabley bad - i just seem to have a prob with whiteheads on my nose and sometimes the occasional spot on my face.

I wash with hot water and cloth and pat my face, then gently apply face wash, then pat it off with warm water, then towel pat dry, then moisturise with st-ives.

Should I let my nose go dry by not moisturizing it? Or does that make it worse? When I get a spot, should I avoid moisturising that part of my face?

Any tips would be great

Best answer chosen as always thanks

I am 14 year old male and I have had the same problem. I now use Tea Tree by Superdrug. Here is what you need to use and when:
Tea Tree Facial Scrub (Once A Week)
Tea Tree Facial Wash (Twice A Day)
Tea Tree Cleanser And Toner (Twice A Day)
Moisturiser (Twice A Day)

Here is th order in which to use them:
Never use the scrub and facial wash together.
Use the facial scrub once a week followed by toner.
Firstly use the facial wash.
Secondly use the cleanser/toner.
Thirdly use the moisturiser.

Here is a link to all of the products:
Facial Wash: http://www.superdrug.com/invt/81140&bklist=
Facial Scrub: http://www.superdrug.com/invt/81132&bklist=
Cleanser/Toner: http://www.superdrug.com/invt/81205&bklist=
Moisturiser: http://www.superdrug.com/invt/247073&bklist=

Those products will cost you no more than £15-£20.
You should notice the difference in your skin within a week.
Good Luck!!

Skin color has never really had an effect on how attractive I think a person is unless they are orange or obviously over-tanning. Be proud of who you are and don't feel as though you need to conform to whatever standard you feel is presented. Maybe some people feel as though light skin is more attractive, but most do not. Furthermore, I'm sure there are just as many people who find dark skin more attractive.

The best thing u can do is cleanse, tone and moistiurize. In that order.By doing this u will get deep down into the pores. If u do this every day u will notice a difference very quickly.

Try using a gentle exfoliator as well. I use the St Ives blackhead scrub everyday, but you could try the regular or the sensitive skin one. Always moisturize, even if you're skin feels fine, always use it. I have the same problem as you. I tried Proactiv and it really helped. I rarely have any kind of a breakout anymore.

You're doing all the right things, so might I suggest that you also have regular facials to really clean your skin. It might not sound macho but it's very popular now amongst men and it does leave your skin feeling wonderfully clean and healthy. You can also get face masques to use at home if you're not feeling brave enough for a visit to a salon!

i ddont no how to deal with the spots but considering your nose. I squeeze them all out at night, and then you do that every night for like 2 0r 3 days and eventually it becomes very clear. The reason for doing it at night is that it makes your nose go very red, which is gone by the morning

Sometimes, you just get spots.

I'm 26, I eat what I want, I'm slightly overweight, I never exercise, I don't take vitamins, I never moisterise, the only product I use is good 'ol fashioned soap, and I never ever get spots.

I'm not trying to gloat, just make the point that...

Sometimes, you just get spots.

Give your face a breather! stop cleansing so much. I wash my
face with only water twice a day, my skin is clear of any spots or
whiteheads.

ihad the same problem at your age. its possile to be to clean.... try this wash twice a day morning and night. but some tea tree oil, you can get it at GNC. put it on at night cause it stinks a little. worked wonders for me. but i feel most my problem was cleaning overboard like you may be doing. throws those face cleansers away!. soap and water twice a day with tea tree at night.

i saw results in one week.

Frustrating, isn't it, when all your wonderful attempts still end up in vain... I reccommend a subtle diet change -don't eat chocolate maybe. Also, do more exercise? No, I'm straw-clutching
