pop ups are (involuntary) advertisements for products/services and can be very annoying (for example you might click on a website to browse for shoes and a lil window will pop up encouraging you to play the lottery in Illinois, or to visit a porn site or somewhere along those lines). The good news is that there are a lot of FREE pop up blockers available from google, yahoo, msn to name a few.

Pop ups are these annoying windows which keep opening up on their own when you click on the links on a particular website...They are a very powerful source of advertisement because you just cant ignore them whether you like it or not...Even though now various pop up blockers are available for free...

pop ups are a program activated when you would click on particular link, it is used so that sites can make money from advertising.

first off it is WHAT ARE POP UPS?? not WHAT IS POP UPS...
THEY ARE THE VERY ANNOYING ADVERTISEMENT THAT POPS UP ON YOUR SCREEN WHILE VIEWING ANY WEBSITE...
TURN YOUR POP UP BLOCKER TO RID THEM OFF YOUR SCREEN..

popups are usually ads used by websites that will open in your browser.. they're really annoying.. u can have a popup blocker to avoid them
