I saw the video for that song last night! It is one of the classics of the late 80s/early 90s, along with Black Box's 'Ride on Time', Inner City's 'Good Life', The Adventures of Stevie V's 'Dirty cash' and Dr Alban's 'It's my life' and 'The Power' also by Snap!. They bring back a whole lot of memories of childhood for me!

'I'm serious as cancer, when I say rhythm is a dancer!' is one of the funniest lyrics ever committed to record!

Not me mate !!! For classics go for Dee-lite "Groove Is In The Heart" or Underworld "Born Slippy" or maybe The Source Featuring Candi Staton & "You Got The Love" Those are real dance classics, and personally think Snap & 2 Unlimited where crap. sorry.

someone had already said that this song and others in that time kinda started what we hear now...i would definitly agree with them.
I don't remember dance big before that..it was all rock and roll with some underground tracks of dance from obsure artists on hard to get albums.

Brings back many memories. Thanks for the question!

Whenever I hear it now it reminds me of the fantastic time I had there!

Ha ha, we used to have our own version of this in the playground.

'Rythm is a dancer
smoking gives you cancer
needles give you HIV
dogs give you rabies
shagging gives you babies
that's why I'm on XTC'
