I sympathise with your analogy. Unfortunately, by definition bullies don't get voted in democratically - they seize power because they can. They hate it, but they are now so reliant on oil to fuel their obscenely conspicuous consumption, that they have to mask securing oil supplies with a wrapping of freeing oppressed people. All the people the USA wants to free seem to have oil (Russia, Iran, Iraq)

Curiously, the people of Zimbabwe are in deep distress, under the heel of a real tyrant, but they don't qualify for being freed.

Unless they strike oil in significant quantites.............?

There were a couple of generations of American politicians (particularly since WWII) who never got to be king of the hill or play "war" with the neighborhood kids, or they felt mommy and daddy didn't give them enough attention, so they didn't bother to grow up and are acting out their childish fantasies as adults.

And particularly to Cracker Jack, the U.S. hasn't been "bigger or stronger" for quite some time now, and the leaders aren't "aggressive" ... they are bullies, and they are about to be taken down.

I'm assuming many who support them want to go down too, of course.

Its the american way.
Apparently they live in a democratic country, but if Bush is still president then i have serious doubts about that.
Unless most of the Americans are dooshbags and can be convinced by a man who cant really speak properly.
And by the way if the only excuse Americans have for waging wars on other countries is their apparent foreign aid ,Well you can just shove your aid where it belongs.

You are completely right. We have enough problems at home we could be taking care of. We need to stop all foreign aid, both money and military and get out of everybody else's business. The US would be a lot better off and the rest the world can do it on their own. I'm frankly sick of the US spending billions of dollars world wide only to be attacked.

It was decided when the dust settled from WW1, 2 and the Cold War and the USA was the last Superpower still standing.

Cowboys do not seek permission. With two six shooters in their belt they are law unto themselves. Their simple motto is "might is right". USA follows Cowboy Culture!

I really like American people for their entrepreneurship.
I request them to shun patriotism.
It is hindering their potential.

There are lots of social and economic problems in the rest of the world.

Americans should reach out and solve these problems.
I promise. Americans will never regret this experience.

Let me give you a hint, Skippy. It's the Golden Rule..."He who has the gold makes the rules."

If you can't run with the big dog, stay on the porch with the pups.
