It happens to many and it is not just about money. Humans never get satisfied. When you get one good thing then why not try and get some more?
Rich people usually try to get more money. Because with money you can do whatever.
So it's about the RICH.
About the poor, well I don't have a clue but I think it doesn't matter to them if they get more and more poor.

According to the GINI coefficient numbers the "developing" world has some of the worst wealth inequality in the world.
While in individual cases and at some times it might seem that the rich just get richer and the poor have children, the question I answered yesterday turns this on its head.

The question was about the growth of money and how money in motion creates more money. As long as the rich people are trying to get richer, they will actually help the poor people too. They can't help it, the money in motion creates more money, and some of it will "trickle down."

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that high levels of wealth inequality are good!! High inequality was a main cause of the Great Depression in the US.
Every country, however, historically goes through a period of high inequality as they industrialize. These 'robber barons' are a necessary evil because they create wealth for the whole country and jobs for the poor. They just have to be reigned in once they have fulfilled their capitalistic destiny. (Or we could act like Marxist-Leninists and just shoot them.)

All politics the rich do get richer from having the tax breaks and the poor are having more babies because they don't have the money to get out and go do things.

Personally, i think that it's very hard to get a balance, and the outcome,.... people who works their head off, get to earn lots of money while other have to maintain a relationship, where half of their time was spent on the partner and eventually get babies.

On one hand, you are happy with lots of money but you are lonely. On the other, you live by, less luxury, but you have someone who cares and your family....

Life... always a contradiction. Question is ... what would you do?

Sure. This is the end/decline phase of any culture's developmental lifecycle.

The inevitable result is, of course, revolution - whether social and peaceful, or transformative and violent.

We're fortunate to be living in a time where we can watch a culture and economy decline. It will be fascinating to see how we deal with it.
