I Would have gotten along with my Dad. We had the same sense of humor and ability to laugh at ourselves. We could talk to and did talk to anyone. Dad and I were both protective of those we love. When I was a child he would pull pranks on us kids and when he got caught we would all laugh, Mom would get upset. Dad was just like a big kid, and always dragging us off to his next big adventure.
When he got sick, I hung out with him and took him to lunch every week. One week I overslept (worked night shift) and he called, missing our lunch time. So if I was a child or adult it would be my father.
Mom is pretty cool too, I found this out after Dad passed away.
Guess, I'm pretty lucky.

We'll never know. Life is a one-way street, you know? But let's say it was possible, just for the sake of academic argument, which is one that serves no useful purpose, but is interesting anyway. My situation would probably be the polar opposite of yours. My old man was a "follow the rules" kind of guy. Career Marines tend to be like that, you know? I didn't get along with him all that well when he was old, so it's not likely his younger self would have been any different. My ma on the other hand, I could have hung with her when she was younger. She was quite the problem child in her day. She once stole my uncle's roadster and drove from Kalamazoo Michigan all the way to Chicago Illinois to see the Ink Spots (a band) back in the day. Small wonder I turned out to be such a hell-raiser, huh?

My dad used to do weird stuff like fill his mouth up with milk and bread and pretend to be sick ... at bus stops.
My mum was more conventional.
I would probably get on better with my dad.

Id probably get into a fight with my dad and would of killed him..but i cant do that coz then i would never exist..my mum we'd be good friends

me & my dad go out together when he comes to visit, we have a great time! the mom is a little uptight.

hmm, I'm too similar to my mom, we'd probably boss each other around and fight over the same guys (NOT my dad obviously...gross....)

i don't think so , my parents do not have much of a sense of humor, and with my snarky noir humor we would be opposites
