I believe a person should work on control. Control on eating, sex, playing video games, an other things. If it was done only to relieve yourself after days of no sex, probably no problem. If you are practicing everyday, you are enslaved to a habit. Habits allow other doors to be open that you may not want to open.

I have heard not enough can effect a man.
When researching this I found this site with loads of masturbators for men, I didn't even know there were such things available.

Yes it does affect them, physically and mentally.
Mentally: relieves stress and relaxes them
Physically: makes them feel great and is healthy for their prostate, masturbation slows the development of prostate cancer
No negative effects
