hp dv2124 (intel core duo, 512 mb ddr2 ram, 80 gb hd, geforce graphics 256 mb)- costs 49500......and......
compaq v3149(amd 64x2, 1 gb ddr2, 120 gb hd, nvidia geforce graphics 128 mb)-costs 49500

i dont care about the size of hd....its just that i've heard amd cant sustain performance due to excessive heating...i would like the laptop to play games like aoe -3(graphic intensive)

Well first of all intel centrino core 2 duo chips are far superior in terms of heat management, processor speed and better consumption compared to AMD. Especially if you want to play games on your laptop.

If you are to buy the hp laptop, i would suggest you upgrade your memory to 1.5 to 2gb of it so your games can run smoothly.

Compaq and hp are the same company its just that compaq takes on the more lower-end range while hp takes more high-end range.

i'm presently watching them the two for a chum who's wanting a sparkling computing device. From what i've got considered, they are particularly equivalent overall on the subject of technologies and function. in case you bypass to the AMD and Intel web pages and check out the spec's they are exceedingly equivalent. Now i comprehend a few diehards will say that this one is this, and that one is that, yet to the typical consumer you will no longer see a splash distinction in them as long as they have approximately a similar GHz score. My innovations are: one million. For generic computing and respectable pastime play bypass with a minimum of a 2.0 or 2.1GHz processor. in case you at the instant are not into video games, then the only million.8GHz point will maximum probable suffice your needs. 2. in case you're into greater extreme video games or do severe point processing projects, then decide for as speedy a processor as you could probable have the money for. have the money for is the biggest because of the fact the charges bypass up very speedy with each step in velocity. wish this facilitates a splash. have exciting figuring out to purchase!!!

I recommend the 2nd laptop.
AMD is very good for gamer.
Even though it produce excessive heat, you can buy a cooler pad. It can help to cool your laptop.
If you want to know which processor are better, maybe Google can help.
Just type 'Intel Vs AMD'. I am pretty sure you can get a lot of information.
