Palmers Cocoa Butter for Stretch Marks. If she's going to get them, she will no matter what though. I didn't get any until 32 weeks! And I used the cream all along.

I was 110 lbs and 5'4" when i got pregnant... I used that palmers cocoa butter from day one... and now my stomach, thighs, and breasts are a forest of stretch marks. Nothing can prevent them. A stretch mark is a tear in the deepest layer of skin, meaning that it is neither preventable or treatable (without lasers or surgery). She can try it, but she is wasting her time. By The Way, i didn't get any until I was almost done, Also, stetch marks temd to be hereditary... but not everyone gets them. My aunt got big as a house... twice... and didnt get a single one... we joke that i ot hers AND mine. Good Luck though...

I've used palmers cocoa butter for stretch marks throughout my pregnancy and I've just started to get a few stretchmark (low on my abdomen under my bump) over the last few weeks. I don't think anything can prevent them, it just helps to stop your skin getting too dry and itchy. Just remember they are a natural part of being pregnant and she shouldn't be ashamed if she gets any.

i have been using the coacoa butter tehat is made for pregnant women. it's called Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula massage lotion for strech marks and it has a picture of a pregnant woman on it, you can get it at Babies r us, motherhood maternity stores, or a drugstore.
Also, if she has vitamin e in her diet it will help with the skins elasticity.

I used cocoa butter every time I went to the rest room. I have no stretch marks, but my skin is very flexible or stretchable to start with. It is definitely worth trying.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but no moisturizer can prevent stretch marks. They tend to run in families so if your mom had them it is likely you will get them too. The damage is from your skin stretching too rapidly, not from lack of moisture. The best thing you can do is try not to gain weight to rapidly. It never hurts to moisturize though.
