There is actually a simple answer to that|

Deny yourself many things as an exercise in self-control.

Don't indulge every desire you have, for that only leads to feebleness of intellect and will in the long run|

You don't have to deny yourself everything, but perhaps 33% of the desires that come at you|

And that exercise will make your mind razor sharp and forge a will-power like steel.

If it's extra IQ you're after, then what you need to do is work to increase the number of left brain/right brain connections.

One exercise for doing this is as follows:

Sit down with a friend. Clear your mind.
Talk about the first thing that pops into your brain, e.g. "I see a monkey."
Your friend then asks you something about the monkey, e.g. "What color is it's fur?"
You answer.
Your friend asks another question, e.g. "What does the fur smell like?"
You answer.
Your friend asks another question, e.g. "What else smells like that?"

For this exercise to work really well, your friend should try to engage all of your senses in your imagination, not just sight. Also, they should try and steer the experience in a way that is not obvious. The fur example drags the experience away from the monkey and makes your imagination really work hard - which is the objective of the exercise.

I have heard that doing this for 5 mins a day will increase your IQ by a couple of points a week.

There are so many ways to make one's mind sharper. Here, I tell you few-

* Daily, early in the morning, practice meditation for about half an
hour.

*Learn a new language and practice it regularly.

*Try to concentrate on the work you do.

Get some excercise, get enough sleep, eat right, and keep learning. Learn a language, or hobby or anything else. If you keep on learning you keep getting sharper.
