How many of us know and understand the provisions of our Constitution and its effects on our daily life. There is complete lack of awareness which includes even the business class, the working class. We are plagued with invariable problems that we dont have the time to and we dont want to know about our Constitution. We are deliberately deprived of the knowledge within the Constitution.

This is utter misconception. We cannot hold the Constitution responsible for the present status we are in. It is the politicians who have misused and misinterpretted the provisions of the Constitution and have exploited the provisions to their benefit.

It was propagated that it was the Congress and only the Congress that led us to the Independence. We were made to believe this and we were not provided with another choice than to give them the power to rule us (Independent India). Again I have to repeat here that unlimited and unfetterred power, that to for a long period, leads to its abuse.

These politicians have done nothing to develop our nation. They have only drafted policies on paper and amassed wealth for themselves and their families.

There was complete lack of strategic opposition to the laws enacted by our earlier regimes(Congress). If all the provisions of our Constitution are put to work in their true sum and substance, we can be assured that we have the best Constitution. No doubt there are some draw backs but ours is a not so rigid and not so flexible Constitution. Therefore we could have modified the provisions to our (people) benefit.

The fact is that we did not realise that we were being exploited or that we were not given what we were entitled to, by the Government (Congress). We must blame ourselves for not dethroning the earlier regimes fast and within appropriate time, in any case before being further exploited.

Therefore we need to blame ourselves or the regimes who did not care for us.

I think the Indian constitution is one of the best piece of constitutional document. The problem in India is not with the Constitution. It is in the weakness of its implementation. The criminal elements have completely taken control of the polity and they show no intention to apply the constitutional provisions, to remedy the situations, because the situations which require remedy was created by these errant knaves ruling the roost. It requires a vigilant society to cleanse the system and to rid the polity of the corrupt and criminal elements.

Ambedkar made a big mess our constitution and tofday we are suffering because of him. He made such a constitution and it is stalking us today as a devil. He made such a constitution which has to be amended so far by 85 times.
