Your question is very vague. All hamsters die. Their lifespan is not that long with the average being 1.5-2.5 years. If you're noticing your hamsters dying before they reach this age (and remember if you're buying from a pet store you can't tell the age of the hamsters) then there is something wrong. I highly recommend you join a hamster message board. An excellent one is called "Hamsters In Focus". All the top hamsters breeders in the US are members of the board and your question/problem will be addressed if you discuss everything that you've witnessed or done.

right im not saying this happens to your hamsters but be very carefull when you say they are dead hamsters ( rarely but happens) go into hybernation. Sometimes if temp isnt right they hybernate. Look dead feel dead but still alive. Also they are so so tiny any thing can cause a heart attck if you have small childeren they could scare them be a little rough. They only last a couple of years any way 2-3 years. Perhaps dont get any more hamsters go for fish or cat hamsters are such delicate little things and need to be handled gently iv had 5 hamsters all lasted over 2 years i love them and would like another but have to dogs and could scare the little mite. Try a rat not as cute but do more things and not as delicate.

it would depend on the way ur taking care of it and its surroundings, some people have different ways of taking care of it......... and weather matters 2 even if they are indoors maybe u should look ovr some websites to make sure ur taking care of them prolly or try a differnet place the next time u get a hamster, it could also vary from the seller the way they're taking care of it

If you give us more information such as the kind of cage you have, its size and what kind of food you give him, it might become easier for us to answer your question.

Stop putting them in rocket powered cars. They weren't made for that sort of treatment.
