Place all these numbers in a column in Excel.... 98 at the top down to 102.

Highlight the numbers in the column.

Go to insert menu, and pick function.

This shows you a list of all the functional formulas you can find on the program, including Mean Mode, Median, Variance and Standard Deviation.

It is pretty simple to follow. Good luck.

Here are the answers, see if you can find them too:

Mean104.13
Mode100.00
Median102.50
Variance70.98
SD8.43

Enter the data into your spreadsheet in one column, and sort it. The mode(s) and median will be easy to determine.
From there it depends on how much of a purist you are. You can find mean, variance, and std dev "by hand" or use the functions built into the spreadsheet. Excel might even have functions for finding the median and mode.

not entirely sure

Mean is the average (add up all numbers and divide by the population of the sample)

Mode is the most common value??

Median is the middle value when all values are ordered or if the sample is of even numbered population take the two middle samples and average them

standard deviation... dude I need to review this stuff I got a test on this stuff in a few weeks
